Celebrating 25 Years in Harmony

A Cappella Showcase was founded by the talented Judy Comeau.  The chorus was formed in 1996 as a chapter of Harmony Inc., an international organization of female singers. Reflecting the goal to be a high achieving group, A Cappella Showcase won eight consecutive silver international medals.

In 2008, A Cappella Showcase traded silver for gold as Harmony Inc 2008/2009 International Chorus Champions.  Earlier that year, the chorus placed second in CBC Radio's Choral Competition.  The chorus also had the honour that year to be the first women's chorus from Canada to be invited to perform at a prestigious music festival in St. Petersburg, Russia.

In 2012, the chorus competed in the World Choir Games known as the Olympics of ensemble singing and brought home a silver medal.  This was the first time the games were held in North America in beautiful Cincinnati, Ohio.  Just as 2008 had been a banner year for the chorus, so was 2012 when the chorus once again won the Gold Medal at Harmony Inc.'s International Contest in Orlando, FL.

A Cappella Showcase has now won 4 gold medals in the Harmony, Inc International Contests.

On September 21, 2021 A Cappella Showcase celebrated it's 25th Anniversary as a chartered chorus with Harmony, Inc and looking forward to many more years of creating harmonies.
