On Saturday, May 27th, A Cappella Showcase performed at the 2023 Area 5 AC&C held in Toronto, in front of a panel of astute judges and a hugely supportive audience.

Aside from having qualified for IC&C with a total score of 994 and winning First Place along with our beautiful gold medals, we also earned the Joyce Bradley Memorial Champion Chorus Award, the Louise Malison Memorial Chorus Award for the highest presentation score as well as the Bonnie Barber Memorial Award for the highest score in the singing category. We were also pleased, and also honestly astonished, to receive the Award for most Improved Chorus.

We are humbled, overwhelmed and truly blessed by these stunning awards, and take this opportunity to warmly congratulate all the choruses who have crossed the stage last month.
Our most sincere thanks go to our amazing Chorus Director, Associate Director, Section Leads and Choreographers without whom we would never have achieved such a feat. We are also very grateful for the coaching sessions we received from Patrick Brown and Steve Tramack, two very knowledgeable and highly entertaining gentlemen.

The event was followed by a glamourous and glitzy Moonglow where all choruses and quartets enjoyed delicious food, sang in beautiful harmony and had loads of fun! It was an unforgettable weekend that we will all cherish forever.

Our deepest and most heartfelt thanks go to Tracey Bradford, our Vice-President and one of our very talented Lead singers, and her phenomenal team for organizing this Area 5 AC&C Moonglow! An incredible amount of work, sleepless nights and considerable efforts were devoted to this theme and we are more than grateful! Tracey is pictured here, second to right.
